Welcome to Day 2 of our Creative Countdown
Large Penguin Fancy Ornament
Today’s project uses a combination of techniques. You may use stencils but they are not required. Learn to use a dry brush technique to create the thickness of the ice. It gives it texture and character. It is a fun technique you will want to use in other situations to create fun effects. I use it a lot to create a chalky effect.
You will receive a pattern and surface in your Day 2 packet. If your package hasn’t reached you yet, you are welcome to download and print the project as a pdf. It includes a photo, instructions and linework. Feel free to try it out on any surface.

Project: Large Fancy Penguin Ornament (7:20)
To finish the ornament you can add a hanger. Think of all the possibilities. You could add fabric or ribbon. These ornaments are large enough to use in a single ornament hanger. It would look great.
This project could fit on other surfaces and is very adaptable. Try different poses for the penguin or different things for him to hold. Try other candies or a lollipop. Brooms and shovels would also be great. You could also change and use a heart instead of the snowflake in his belly. Also try different hats. You could put a different color or shaped hat. Try a different type such as a stocking hat.
Hope you enjoy todays project and try to add some buddies for him.
